THE ROLE
Edelman Middle East is seeking an experienced (B2B) Associate Director within our Technology practice, working on one of the company's largest clients. The role involves leading major mandates, providing strategic counsel on communications programs, devising new strategies, and ensuring high-quality delivery by account teams. The candidate should demonstrate strategic thinking and operational excellence.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Act as Subject Matter Expert and participate in key pitches and client meetings.
- Support private sector and governmental clients across the Middle East.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and sector-specific networks.
- Guide clients and teams to achieve business objectives with strategic and creative ideas.
- Serve as the senior client contact responsible for profitability, relationship, and satisfaction of corporate clients in the Middle East.
- Partner with business and resource managers to meet profitability targets.
- Develop and implement Client Development Plans for growth and diversification, including identifying organic growth opportunities and team development.
Knowledge and Skills
- Minimum 10 years of agency experience; Middle East experience is a plus.
- Experience in the government sector is advantageous.
- Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are mandatory.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adaptable to real-time collaboration.
- Proven success in developing and executing communication strategies.
- Strong leadership qualities and experience managing teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and project management skills.
- Deep understanding of the media landscape and stakeholder communication.
- Ability to lead and develop new business opportunities.
- Experience in financial management, including budgeting and forecasting.
