Job description

Established in 2004, Dubai Holding is a global investment company with investments in more than 34 countries and a combined workforce of nearly 45,000 individuals. In line with the vision of Dubai’s leadership and economic diversification strategy, Dubai Holding companies have nurtured sectors, irrevocably transforming Dubai’s socio‑economic landscape and positioning Dubai as a diversified, globally integrated economy.

Dubai Holding is committed to the diversification of Dubai’s non‑oil economy. Our portfolio, valued at over AED 284+ billion, spans 10 sectors, including real estate, hospitality, leisure & entertainment, ICT, design, education, media, retail, manufacturing & logistics, and science.

For the Good of Tomorrow

Dubai Holding is looking to hire an Associate Director – AI Product Management (AI Platforms) within the information technology team. The role holder is responsible for the Group's shared enterprise AI platform and the agentic capabilities built upon it, ensuring a single, secure and scalable foundation enables every AI product team to build, deploy and operate agents at pace. The platform is managed as a product, with internal product teams as its primary customers, and the role holder is accountable for its roadmap, adoption, reliability and unit economics within the portfolio strategy and technology priorities set by the Director – AI Product Lead.

The role holder translates platform capability into reusable services, patterns and guardrails, working across engineering, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture and external technology vendors. This requires a deep understanding of how agentic AI capabilities evolve from task‑level automation to end‑to‑end workflow ownership, and of the platform primitives required to support that evolution safely. As platform dependencies sit on the critical path for dependent AI product delivery, the role holder is responsible for ensuring capability is available, performant and fit for purpose ahead of product need.

If you are ready to embark on a dynamic journey where your talents are valued, and your contributions make a real impact, we would like to hear from you.

Key Accountabilities:

Platform Strategy and Roadmap

  • Define and own the enterprise AI platform roadmap, ensuring alignment with Group technology priorities and the direction of the AI product portfolio.
  • Establish and maintain the platform capability model — agent runtime, orchestration, tooling, integration, observability and guardrails — and sequence investment accordingly.
  • Balance near‑term product team needs against long‑term architectural direction, and recommend build, buy and partner positions to the Director – AI Product Lead and Enterprise Architecture for approval.
  • Take decisions within delegated authority on platform design, prioritisation and service standards, escalating matters affecting portfolio direction, enterprise architecture or investment envelopes.

Agentic Enablement, Reusability, and Innovation:

  • Deliver reusable agent patterns, components, templates and self‑service capabilities that reduce time‑to‑value for product teams.
  • Establish standards for agent design, tool integration, memory, evaluation and human‑in‑the‑loop controls.
  • Drive consumption of shared platform services in preference to point solutions, measuring and reporting reuse across the portfolio.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging agentic AI technologies, models and industry practice, and evolve the platform accordingly.
  • Run structured evaluation and experimentation of new capabilities before committing them to the platform roadmap.
  • Ensure platform capabilities are designed for scalability, efficiency and long‑term value creation.

Platform Performance, Reliability, and Value Realisation:

  • Define and manage platform KPIs covering adoption, reliability, latency, cost‑per‑agent and developer productivity.
  • Monitor platform economics and drive optimisation of cloud, model and licensing consumption.
  • Identify risks, dependencies and capability gaps, implementing mitigation and improvement actions.
  • Manage platform dependencies that sit on the critical path for dependent AI product delivery, ensuring capability is available and fit for purpose ahead of product need.

Vendor and Partner Management:

  • Lead technical and commercial engagement with AI platform vendors and implementation partners, including evaluation, onboarding and performance management.
  • Translate platform requirements into clear statements of work, service levels and acceptance criteria.
  • Maintain competitive awareness of the vendor landscape and avoid unnecessary lock‑in through deliberate abstraction and exit planning.
  • Manage vendor delivery teams and contract resources against agreed scope, quality standards and delivery commitments.

Platform Governance and Responsible AI:

  • Embed security, privacy and responsible AI controls into the platform by design, in line with Group policy and applicable regulation.
  • Ensure AI use cases built on the platform are registered and governed through the agreed portfolio management process.
  • Provide the evidence, telemetry and audit trails required by governance, risk and assurance functions.
  • Work with Cybersecurity, IT GRC and Data Protection and AI Legal to ensure platform controls remain current as regulatory requirements evolve.

Stakeholder Management and Cross‑Functional Delivery:

  • Collaborate with engineering, cloud, architecture, cybersecurity and change management stakeholders to prioritise and execute platform initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment between technical feasibility, business objectives and delivery timelines across dependent product squads.
  • Communicate platform direction, trade‑offs and constraints clearly to technical and senior business audiences.
  • Support development of business cases and investment proposals for platform and infrastructure initiatives.

People Management:

  • No permanent direct reports. The role holder sets technical direction and drives accountability across business‑embedded teams, contract resources and vendor delivery teams supporting the platform.
  • Define objectives, standards and quality expectations for contract and partner resources, and manage their performance against agreed deliverables.
  • Build platform and agentic engineering capability across consuming product squads through standards, enablement material and hands‑on guidance.
  • Foster an ownership‑driven, outcome‑focused culture across the extended platform community, working through influence rather than line authority.

Who we are looking for:

  • 8 – 10 years of experience in technology, platform or digital product roles within large or complex organisations, including 3+ years owning a platform, infrastructure or developer‑facing product.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering AI, machine learning or agentic capabilities into production at enterprise scale.
  • Experience managing significant technology vendor and partner relationships, including commercial and delivery accountability.
  • Experience leading multi‑disciplinary technical teams, including matrixed, contract and vendor delivery resources.

Education/Professional Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, engineering, information technology or mathematics; advanced degree preferred.
  • Cloud or AI platform certification (Azure, AWS or GCP) is advantageous.

Technical Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of agentic AI architectures, covering orchestration, tool use, retrieval, evaluation and guardrails.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms, containerisation, CI/CD and MLOps practices.
  • Experience defining platform APIs, reusable components and self‑service developer experience.
  • Solid grasp of product discovery, delivery and lifecycle management applied to internal platform products.
  • Ability to model and manage platform cost, consumption and unit economics.
  • Familiarity with enterprise security, privacy and responsible AI control requirements.

Behavioural Competencies:

  • Strong leadership capability to set direction, drive accountability and enable ownership across teams and partners without reliance on formal authority
  • Strong customer orientation, treating internal product teams as customers and anticipating their needs
  • Sound judgement and data‑informed decision‑making in complex and ambiguous environments, including when reasoning through complex technical trade‑offs
  • Commercial acumen, with the ability to balance cost, value and risk and align technical direction with Group priorities
  • Effective stakeholder management and influencing capability across senior leadership, cross‑functional teams and vendors, building credibility to secure cooperation
  • Clear and confident communication, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts effectively to non‑technical and senior audiences
  • Strong execution focus, managing competing priorities and dependencies, acting decisively on risks and delivering high‑quality outcomes within constraints
  • Adaptability and continuous learning mindset, with the ability to stay abreast of emerging practice and adjust direction in a fast‑moving technology environment
  • Collaborative approach, sharing knowledge openly and working constructively towards shared outcomes

As much as we would be delighted to entertain all applicants, due to the high volumes of applications, only successful applicants will be contacted within 14 business days.
