Job summary

Alpin Limited, a sustainability consulting and commissioning firm based in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi, is seeking an on-site Commissioning Engineer. The role involves supervising on-site commissioning, overseeing equipment installation, and coordinating with contractors and technicians to ensure timely pre-start-up activities.

Applicants should have 1–3 years of field experience in Technical Services on industrial engineered equipment, with English proficiency and intermediate IT skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in field engineering or industrial equipment maintenance.
• Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in reading drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• On-site supervision of commissioning and site management.
• Overseeing installation of equipment on site.
• Preparing and supervising pre-start-up activities with contractors and technicians.
• Assist in preparation of commissioning handover manuals and reports.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Coordinate work to meet tight deadlines.
• Promote safety culture and drive safety improvements.

Reports Directly to:

Commissioning Manager

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Maintain the required KPIs and strive for continued personal development.
• Supervising on-site commissioning and site management
• Overseeing installation of equipment on site
• Prepares and ensure pre-start-up activities supervision using Contractors Commissioning Supervisors and Technicians
• Assist with the preparation of Commissioning handover manuals and relevant tracking/filing of commissioning reports,
• Good knowledge of reading and interpreting drawings, schematics, and specifications
• Scheduling and coordinating work to tight deadlines
• Daily implementation of the safety culture and driving of safety improvement initiatives.
• Assist Sr. Commissioning Engineer in the preparation and issue of the relevant progress reports & lists
• Reporting to Commissioning Manager

• In addition to your responsibility towards following ALPIN's Integrated Management System, every employee at ALPIN must familiarize themselves with ALPIN's Environmental Impact Assessment and contribute towards minimizing their individual environmental impact during their work.

• Language Requirements: English.
• Education Requirements: Mechanical maintenance, electrical and ELV
• Experience Requirements: 1 to 3 years of Field experience in Technical Services, on Industrial engineered equipment.
• Good ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Intermediate IT skills (MS Office applications, Service Management software).
