Job summary

Parsons is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer in Abu Dhabi to assist in supervising landscape and softscape execution for various projects. You will oversee softscape works, ensuring compliance with authority standards and promoting sustainable practices.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and has 8 to 10 years of experience in the industry, along with a strong command of irrigation systems and plant management.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years of experience in landscape and softscape supervision.
• Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, plant species, and soil requirements.
• Experience in tree relocation, especially native species such as Ghaf.
• Familiarity with Abu Dhabi Municipality and DMT standards.
• Fluency in Arabic and English communication.
• Strong coordination and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise softscape works including planting, irrigation systems, and soil preparation.
• Oversee relocation and preservation of Ghaf and other native trees.
• Monitor both softscape and related hardscape activities for coordination.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings and Abu Dhabi authority requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, designers, and stakeholders for seamless execution.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare detailed quality and progress reports.
• Verify quantities and assist in evaluating contractor variations.
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of irrigation systems.
• Monitor plant establishment and maintenance during defect liability period.
• Ensure sustainability practices are implemented across all landscape works.
