Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the UAE seeks an Assistant Resident Engineer Civil (OHL) to support the Resident Engineer in supervising overhead line civil works, including foundations and associated infrastructure.

You will monitor contractor activities, verify submissions, ensure safety and quality, and maintain daily site records while coordinating with stakeholders to resolve technical issues and keep schedules on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 58 years of experience in civil construction preferably in transmission line or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in Overhead Line (OHL) foundation works and related civil structures is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies quality standards and safety practices.
• Familiarity with UAE/GCC codes, standards and regulations is an advantage.
• Good communication and coordination skills with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Ability to review technical drawings and construction documents.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of project management tools is beneficial.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work on-site and travel as required.

• Maintain accurate site records daily reports and progress updates.
• Assist in reviewing project schedules and monitoring construction progress against timelines.
• Support the Resident Engineer in managing site documentation variations and contractual matters.
• Participate in site meetings and contribute to reporting on project status and risks.
