Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Assistant Resident Engineer to supervise bridges, roads and infrastructure projects in the UAE, ensuring compliance with project specs, quality standards and health and safety requirements.

You will lead construction activities, coordinate with contractors, review design details and ensure timely delivery. A civil engineering degree and 12+ years UAE supervision experience are required; familiarity with RTA/UAE road standards is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 12+ years of experience in construction supervision of roads, bridges, and infrastructure projects.
• Mandatory UAE experience in a supervision consultancy role.
• Proven experience in bridge construction, including reinforced concrete, structural steel, and associated infrastructure works.
• Hands-on experience in the supervision of cycle tracks, pedestrian pathways, active mobility, or urban streetscape projects.
• Familiarity with RTA, Abu Dhabi Mobility, and UAE road design standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities to ensure alignment with project specifications and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements on site.
• Coordinate with contractors, designers and inspectors to resolve technical issues.
• Review project progress and report on milestones, risks and mitigations.
