Job summary

An international airport in Ras Al Khaimah is seeking an Assistant Plumber to maintain the water supply system across all airport buildings. Responsibilities include routine checks and repairs of plumbing installations, operating and maintaining RO and STP plants, as well as supervising staff as needed. Candidates must have a D.A.E diploma or equivalent, along with at least 4 years of practical plumbing experience.

Position Title: Assistant Plumber
Reports to: Plumber Supervisor
Division: Plumbing Grade

Job Purpose

Asst. Plumber will maintain the water supply system of all airport buildings; carry out daily routine checks of the water supply system, drainage and fault rectification. Also maintain RO plant, STP and water hydrant line system repair and routine checks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily routine checks and fault rectification of plumbing installations.
• Operate and maintain bore wells, RO plant, and STP, including chemical dosing and periodic maintenance of related equipment.
• Inspect all rest rooms and other water supply systems of buildings.
• Perform inspections and rectification work for clients and airlines.
• Work independently, supervise other staff as needed.

Communication & Working Relationships

Internal: Departments – routine inspections, troubleshooting and root cause identification related to plumbing system.

External: Clients/airlines – inspection and rectification work.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• D.A.E diploma or related experience or equivalent education with at least 4 years of practical experience.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in domestic water supply systems, water storage, bore well operation, high‑pressure fire hydrant systems, domestic water pumps, and sewage treatment systems.
• Good knowledge of domestic water supply system of buildings, water storage tanks, bore well operations, high‑pressure fire hydrant pumps and pipe installations, domestic water supply pumps, and sewage treatment systems.

Other Requirements – Safety Accountability and Responsibilities

All staff must comply with safety requirements and procedures outlined in the Aerodrome Operations Manual and Safety Management System, and any other instructions or notices issued by Ras Al Khaimah International Airport. They must follow training safety requirements, advise the Head of Department and Airport Duty Officer team of any safety occurrence or system failure, and report potential risks through:
• Report directly to the Safety Department or immediate supervisor.
• Submit an Accident/Incident Report.
• Support safety audits and investigations as they occur.
