Job summary

A leading oil and gas company in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a candidate to support Slickline operations. As part of this role, you will assist with pre- and post-job operations, ensuring safety and compliance with company standards. The ideal candidate should have a diploma or equivalent, 1 year of relevant experience, and excellent computer skills. Fluency in English is essential for this position.

  • Support in rig-up of equipment as per procedures.
  • Collect and record relevant data.
  • Monitor tension and depth of slickline using gauges.
  • Perform on-site emergency unit/equipment maintenance.
  • Report hazards or accidents to supervisor.
  • Attend weekly Safety Meetings.
  • Implement operational and technical standards.
  • Comply with all ADNOC operational codes.

Job description
JOB PURPOSE

Provides support to the Slickline Operator and assists with pre- and post-job operations. Assists in raising and lowering downhole tools (e.g. bailers, pulling tools, stems and running tools) with a wire cable to test and maintain wells. Supports in retrieving and installing valves, plugs and pressure regulators. Assists in lowering and raising downhole tools and plugs to proper depth and direct the fishing tools used to retrieve broken or lost wire or equipment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Job Specific Accountabilities
  • Interacts with third parties whose activities could negatively impact slickline job execution process to ensure proper coordination.
  • Assists in the rig‑up of equipment in accordance with accepted procedures.
  • Collects and records relevant data.
  • Assists in the usage of weight indicator gauges and depth counters to monitor the tension and depth of the slickline.
  • Supports in performing on‑site emergency unit / equipment maintenance.
  • Reports all hazards or potentially hazardous situations, accidents, incidents and injuries immediately to supervisor.
  • Attends weekly Safety Meetings.
  • Understands and implements operational (OS), and technical standards including other company requirements for each task performed.
  • Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.
  • Performs other similar or related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
