Job summary

Grant Thornton UAE seeks an Assistant Manager in Direct Tax to lead a team on high-stakes tax matters. You will oversee complex corporate tax projects, coordinate with partners, and contribute to client bids and risk management while building strong relationships across the firm and with clients.

The role requires 4+ years UAE corporate tax experience, and professional qualifications (CTA/CA/CPA/ACCA). Fluency in English is essential; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
• Strong written and spoken English; Arabic a plus.
• Proven leadership and coaching能力 to develop teams and add value.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the team to deliver high-quality performance.
• Coordinate with Partners and management on technical and risk matters.
• Participate in bids and proposals for prospective clients.
• Contribute to presentations and seminars for business forums.
• Review complex tax returns with international elements and provide recommendations.
