About the role

As the Assistant Manager of the Remittance Unit, you’ll be at the heart of our global payment ecosystem—leading seamless end-to-end processing and orchestrating high-impact operations and projects across both onshore and offshore teams. This role is pivotal in ensuring business-as-usual excellence while championing innovation in change management, testing, and regulatory compliance within the payment's domain.

With deep expertise in ISO20022 standards and industry-recognized certifications, you’ll be the go-to authority for delivering precision, reliability, and top-tier service to internal stakeholders and external clients alike. Your leadership will shape the future of payment operations, driving efficiency, integrity, and continuous improvement every step of the way.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Lead and manage SWIFT payment processing operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Drive and support payment-related projects, including system upgrades, regulatory implementations, and process enhancements.
  • Perform testing and contribute towards change management activities within the payments domain, ensuring minimal disruption to BAU.
  • Collaborate with technology and business teams to implement ISO20022 standards and other payment innovations.
  • Manage onshore and offshore teams, ensuring resource optimization and service continuity.
  • Generate ideas for continuous improvement and innovation to align the unit with global standards.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant banking regulations and payment industry standards.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
  • Promote cross-functional learning and development to build a resilient and agile team.>
  • Leverage automation and digital tools to streamline payment operations and reduce manual errors.
What We Are Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in payments (e.g., SWIFT Certified ISO20022 Payments Expert, CertPAY) are highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in payment operations, SWIFT processing, and project/change management within banking or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of payment systems, regulatory frameworks, and industry standards.
  • Proven track record in managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex payment projects.
