Job summary

Al Tayer Group - UAE, via its Al Tayer Insignia retail division, seeks a seasoned accounting professional in Dubai to manage capital expenditures, intercompany costs and budgets within a robust ERP environment. You will ensure IFRS compliance, prepare cash flows, and support audits.

The role requires 5–7 years in accounting, strong Excel and ERP experience, and the ability to deliver accurate management reporting under pressure.

Qualifications

• Commerce graduate with CA Inter or semi-qualified status.
• 5 to 7 years in an accounting function.
• International accounting practice in a computerized environment.
• PC literate with good Excel skills and ERP exposure.
• Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Strong analytical, numerical and research skills.
• Good organizational and planning abilities, able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Control capital expenditures and ensure accurate capitalization of assets.
• Analyze intercompany, head office expenses and overheads against budget.
• Allocate common expenses to cost centers and control common accounts.
• Assist in budgets, business plans and forecasts, collecting and verifying data.
• Maintain accruals for services and compile balance sheet schedules.
• Verify sales staff commissions against agreed criteria.
• Prepare sales and ad hoc reports for management.
• Liaise with operations on Forex needs and report to treasury.
• Liaise with banks on guarantees and letters of credit.
• Prepare monthly and forthcoming cash flow statements.
• Facilitate internal and external audits and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare monthly management reports.
• Conduct periodic counts of fixed assets and trading inventory.
