Job summary

Cranleigh Abu Dhabi, in partnership with Aldar Education, seeks an Assistant Facilities Manager with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil and a minimum of five years’ facilities experience to support operations across the school.

The role involves supervising on-site teams, managing health, safety and compliance, and coordinating maintenance, procurement and contracts to ensure a safe, well-maintained campus on Saadiyat Island.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering – Mechanical, Electrical or Civil (Mandatory).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in facilities, operations, or health & safety roles.
• Experience in education, hospitality, or large multi-site environments – desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of facilities and general services across the school, promoting a strong service culture.
• Supervise on-site facilities and support teams, including security and contractors.
• Ensure facilities are maintained to high standards of cleanliness, safety, and readiness.
• Act as day-to-day contact for facilities matters, escalating issues when required.
• Support planning and resourcing of school events and activities.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance works, including contractor engagement.
• Monitor condition and safety of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Support health, safety and environmental audits.
