Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi invites applications for an Assistant Club Lounge Manager to join our Club Lounge Team. The role sits in Rooms Division and carries responsibility for day-to-day operations, guest experience and staff leadership within our luxury setting.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in Front Office, Club Lounge and Food & Beverage in a luxury property, with fluent English; German and French are assets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Front Office, Club Lounge and Food & Beverage within a luxury property.
• Fluency in English is required; German and French are assets.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with focus on guest service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Club Lounge operations, ensuring smooth workflows, proper staffing and efficient service.
• Supervise colleague performance, grooming and behaviour to Mandarin Oriental standards.
• Train, coach and develop Club Lounge colleagues through structured programs and mentoring.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety, hygiene and local regulations.
• Assist guest room allocation and welcome VIP and long-stay guests, noting preferences.
• Oversee food & beverage service, including supply management, lounge cleanliness and setup.
• Conduct daily briefings, assign side work and monitor performance for consistency.
• Coordinate guest service details such as special requests and event timing.
• Engage with guests to address concerns and enhance their experience.
• Keep records of feedback and training activities to support improvement.

About the job

Based at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi within the Rooms Division, the Assistant Club Lounge Manager is responsible for day-to-day Club Lounge operational requirements. It is the mission and intent of this position that the incumbent will take full responsibility for all aspects of the Club Lounge operations. The Assistant Club Lounge manager reports to the Club Lounge Manager.

As an

Assistant Club Lounge Manager, you will beresponsiblefor the following duties:

• Oversee daily Club Lounge operations, ensuring smooth workflows, proper staffing, and efficient service delivery.
• Supervise colleague performance, punctuality, grooming, and behaviour in line with Mandarin Oriental standards.
• Train, coach, and develop Club Lounge colleagues through structured programs, evaluations, and mentoring.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, company regulations, and local safety, security, and hygiene standards.
• Maintain the Legendary Quality Experiences and Mandarin Oriental’s Guiding Principles in all guest and colleague interactions.
• To assist Club Lounge guest room allocation and personally welcome VIP and long-stay guests, ensuring guest recognition, accurate history records, and fulfilment of preferences.
• Oversee food and beverage service, including supply management, lounge cleanliness, table setup, and compliance with service standards.
• Conduct daily briefings, assign side work, and monitor performance to ensure operational consistency.
• Coordinate guest service details such as special requests, event timing, billing instructions, and décor requirements.
• Regularly engage with guests in the lounge to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and enhance their experience.
• Keep accurate records of guest feedback, service performance, and training activities to support continuous improvement.
• Ensure grooming, hygiene, and lounge environment standards are consistently maintained to reflect a professional image.
• Support the Club Lounge Manager and Director of Rooms with additional responsibilities as required.

As an

Assistant Club Lounge Manager, weexpectfrom you:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Front Office, Club Lounge, and Food & Beverage within a luxury property, resort experience will be a plus.
• Strong and excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills with a focus on delivering personalized guest service.
• Proficient in hotel property management systems (PMS), MS Office, and Guest History databases.
• Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in German and French is considered an asset. Additional language skills are preferred.
