The assistant manager will support the boutique director in leading, developing, and supporting the sales, operations and team members to meet and/or exceed commercial targets and elevate the HOM (House of Mouawad) experience.
The assistant manager will assume oversight for the boutique when the Director is absent. He/she will be a dynamic, attentive and inspiring leader who builds relationships with internal and external clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages the day-to-day operation of the boutique, following the Mouawad Boutique standards and guidelines.
 
- Manages sales objectives and goals in the boutique, including sales targets, sales forecasts, and KPIs.
 
- Maintains the boutique environment and customer enchantment checklist as per the Mouawad standards and runs weekly Customer enchantment audits of the boutique.
 
- Ensures that all sales staff are aligned with Mouawad’s grooming standards and work etiquette. Displays the products as per the 5S methodology.
 
- Develops and builds a top-notch and experienced sales team through continuous mentoring, training, and daily brief meetings.
 
- Ensures that the sales team contacts regular and potential customers through phone calls or direct contact.
 
- Gathers market and boutique customer information by engaging with customers and recording their interests in the salesforce CRM system.
 
- Ensures that all training sessions given to sales are well utilized at the boutique level.
 
- Sets the check-in process for the sales team and ensures its execution and timely.
 
- Runs a survey in the market including competitors and shares an action plan with the boutique director.
 
- Manages the overall sales KPIs of the team and follows up on any discrepancies and shortcomings.
 
- Handles boutique opening/closing procedure, accountable for handing the keys, the alarm code, and POS.
 
- Reconciles the previous night’s sales reports, prepares cash reports for management.
 
- Works the duty roster schedule for sales team and monitors the daily attendance and vacation balance.
 
- Manages boutique maintenance issues and repairs and coordinates retail operations.
 
- Responsible for securing and updating legal documents related to the boutique: trade licenses, permits, maintenance contracts, approved supplier lists, letters, and other documents.
 
- Responds to management projects when assigned by the Boutique Director.
 
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 8-10 years of sales management experience within jewelry retail or luxury retail.
 
- Proven track record in sales generation and managing the achievement of commercial results.
 
- Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
 
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Point of Sales (POS) system.
 
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Being an Arabic speaker is a must.
 
- Proven ability to develop new opportunities and maintain client relationships while ensuring brand recognition and penetration in the market.
 
- The ability to inspire trust, integrity, fairness and professionalism both with clients and staff members.
 
- Flexibility to work in various roles based on business needs (i.e., on the sales floor, operations, etc.).
