Position Summary – Area Manager, Levant Region

The Area Manager for the Levant region is responsible for driving business performance across all product portfolios by managing and developing distributor partnerships. This role ensures that regional targets are achieved through strategic planning, market intelligence, distributor enablement, and aligned commercial execution — all while upholding the company’s compliance standards and long‑term strategic objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the regional business strategy to achieve both short‑term and long‑term commercial objectives across all assigned product lines.
  • Lead the implementation of commercial programs, customer‑focused initiatives, and operational processes that enhance customer satisfaction while supporting organizational goals.
  • Generate periodic market intelligence reports, providing insights on market trends, competitor activities, pricing dynamics, and regulatory developments to inform business decisions.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day commercial operations across the region, addressing distributor challenges, supporting sales activities, and ensuring smooth business continuity.
  • Implement and monitor annual and quarterly sales plans, ensuring alignment between regional objectives and distributor capabilities.
  • Ensure sales targets are consistently achieved through effective planning, forecasting, and rigorous performance monitoring.
  • Train, guide, and support distributors and channel partners, ensuring they have the capability, product knowledge, and tools required to execute the business strategy and maximize sales growth.
  • Strengthen relationships with key distributor stakeholders, fostering collaboration, transparency, and long‑term partnership success.
  • Ensure that all regional business operations comply with Getinge’s Code of Conduct, Ethics & Compliance, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with internal cross‑functional teams (marketing, clinical, commercial operations, finance, and service) to ensure consistent regional execution and support.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Minimum graduate in Management, Engineering, Medical Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in commercial or sales management roles, preferably within the medical devices industry.
  • Proven experience in managing distributor networks and leading large-scale sales or regional commercial projects.
  • Strong understanding of public tender processes and government procurement procedures across the Levant region.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze markets, interpret data, and translate insights into actionable commercial strategies.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).
  • Strong leadership capabilities with excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • A leadership style that emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and leading by example.
  • Passion for developing, coaching, and enabling partners or team members to achieve their best performance.
  • Goal‑oriented, resilient, and committed to delivering on set targets and regional objectives.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and adherence to compliance standards.
