Job summary

Sisco Jobs is hiring on behalf of a client in Abu Dhabi for an Area Engineer role in the Oil & Gas sector. You will coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities across plant, project areas, and interfaces with construction, operations, and HSE teams.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering with Oil & Gas/ EPC project exposure and relevant certifications. You will ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and safety requirements while supporting project execution

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering discipline required; postgraduate qualifications encouraged.
• Oil & Gas/HSE/project-related certifications may be advantageous.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities in Oil & Gas EPC contexts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering activities within the assigned plant, project, or operational area.
• Monitor field engineering activities and resolve technical issues affecting project execution or operations.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, method statements, and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate with construction, operations, maintenance, HSE, QA/QC, and project engineering teams.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with approved specifications, Oil & Gas standards, and applicable HSE requirements.
• Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure engineering work meets quality and schedule requirements.
• Identify technical risks, engineering constraints, and interface issues and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
• Prepare engineering progress updates and communicate technical issues to relevant project stakeholders.
