Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ARE - Civil (Architect/Engineer - Civil) to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our civil engineering department you will play a crucial role in designing, managing and overseeing various civil infrastructure projects in the region.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams for complex civil engineering projects
  • Review and provide constructive input on project designs ensuring quality accuracy and adherence to local building codes and regulations
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously overseeing all phases from conceptualization to completion
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure construction aligns with design specifications and quality standards
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders and team members to develop innovative solutions for project challenges
  • Prepare and review technical reports, cost estimates and project schedules
  • Ensure projects meet deadlines, budgets and quality requirements
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements and best practices in civil engineering
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the professional development of the team
  • Participate in business development activities and proposal preparation
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent local qualification
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering design and project management
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex infrastructure projects
  • Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods and materials
  • Proficiency in CAD software, project management tools and relevant engineering software
  • In-depth understanding of local building codes and regulations in Abu Dhabi and the UAE
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a detail‑oriented approach
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English both written and verbal
  • Experience working on international projects is highly desirable
  • Ability to establish and maintain long‑term client relationships
  • Willingness to travel for project site visits and client meetings
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of civil engineering
