Job summary

AECOM in Dubai seeks a UAE National Architect/Architectural Engineer to perform basic calculations, prepare specs, and coordinate with design and drafting groups. You will review drawings and support training of junior staff, under supervision of the Supervising Architect.

The role emphasizes Emiratisation and adherence to UAE labour law. It requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit. This is a contract, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
• UAE National with family book.
• Experience performing architectural/engineering calculations and technical analyses.
• Proven ability to prepare specifications, reports and data tables.
• Strong skills in preparing, reviewing and approving architectural drawings.
• Experience collaborating with design and drafting teams.
• Ability to manage complex technical assignments with minimal supervision.
• Strong coordination with multidisciplinary teams and project stakeholders.
• Experience supporting training, mentorship or evaluation of junior staff.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit or similar.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic architectural/engineering calculations.
• Prepare specifications, reports and related data tables.
• Maintain liaison with design and drafting groups.
• Prepare, review and approve drawings as required.
• Independently perform advanced technical assignments within schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate technical and administrative activities with multidisciplinary teams and other departments.
• Assist in training and evaluating junior design/drafting staff.
