Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage architectural design teams.
  • Act as the client-facing lead for design approvals.
  • Oversee the entire design cycle for healthcare facilities.
  • Coordinate with external consultants and stakeholders.
  • Review and approve drawings and contractor submittals.
  • Support construction stages through inspections.
  • Manage close-out activities and authority approvals.

Our client is a globally
renowned healthcare provider headquartered in Dubai.

We are recruiting an
experienced Architectural Manager / Senior Architect to lead hospital
construction projects in the UAE from concept through to handover.

The successful candidate
will be a licensed architect with deep healthcare expertise, capable of
ensuring compliance with DHA and MOH regulations and international standards,
while delivering innovative, high-quality, and sustainable healthcare
facilities.

Role Summary
  • Lead and manage architectural
    design teams, driving planning, execution, and mentoring to ensure design
    excellence and efficiency.
  • Act as the client-facing
    lead, capturing requirements, presenting designs, securing approvals with DHA
    and MOH and other authorities, and supporting final inspections.
  • Oversee the entire
    design cycle for healthcare facilities — concept, schematic, and detailed
    design — ensuring compliance, functionality, and design integrity.
  • Coordinate with external
    consultants, contractors, and stakeholders (Architectural, ID, MEP) to deliver
    projects on time, within budget, and to specification.
  • Review and approve drawings,
    tender packages, room layout sheets, equipment-loaded plans, and contractor
    submittals including ID and shop drawings.
  • Support construction
    stages through RFI responses, site inspections, and technical compliance
    checks.
  • Manage close-out
    activities including authority approvals, as-builts, O&M manuals,
    wies, training, and client handover.
  • Contribute to value
    engineering, risk management, and cost alignment to deliver sustainable and
    commercially viable design solutions.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years’ architectural
    experience, including 5+ years in UAE hospital/healthcare projects, with a
    proven record of leading large-scale projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of DHA
    and MOH requirements, healthcare planning, infection control, clinical
    workflows, and medical equipment integration.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD,
  • Strong leadership and
    project management skills, with the ability to align design decisions to budget,
    programme, and commercial objectives while maintaining compliance and
    excellence.
Education & Certification
  • Bachelor’s (B.Arch) or
    Master’s (M.Arch) in Architecture.
  • Licensed / Registered
    Architect — UAE registration required.
  • Certification in Project
    Management preferred.

  • Currently based in the
    UAE.
  • Fluent in English with
    excellent client-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to influence senior
    stakeholders, secure regulatory approvals, and work confidently with health
    authorities.
  • Professional, resilient,
