Job summary

GEMS Education is seeking a Cluster Arabic and Islamic Lead to oversee Arabic and Islamic education across a UAE cluster. You will develop action plans, implement strategies, and monitor progress to raise student achievement and experience.

The role requires strong leadership, expert knowledge in Arabic/Islamic subjects, and hands-on coaching of teaching teams to drive continued improvement across schools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership role (Head of Department or equivalent).
• 3+ years of teaching experience in Arabic/Islamic subjects.
• Experience training and coaching teams to improve practice.
• Proven impact on Arabic/Islamic outcomes in a school setting.
• Experience as a senior leadership team member is desirable.
• Bachelor or higher in Arabic, Islamic Studies or Education (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Drive improvements in teaching, learning, assessment and curriculum planning in line with best practices.
• Develop, support and monitor action plans for the cluster and individual schools.
• Design and deliver professional development to enhance teaching and coaching.
• Collaborate with other departments to align Arabic/Islamic approaches with school practices.
• Ensure robust assessment approaches and data-informed decision making in Arabic/Islamic.
• Support recruitment through interviews and demo lessons as needed.
