Job summary

EDGE in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Associate interpreter to ensure accurate simultaneous interpretation between English and Arabic across training sessions and meetings, maintaining technical precision and confidentiality in a defence context.

You will work with delivery teams and clients to ensure high-quality interpretation, translation of training materials, and active participation in scenario-based learning, upholding professional standards in a bilingual environment.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in English and Arabic.
• Proven experience in simultaneous interpretation in technical/defence training contexts.
• Formal qualification in translation/interpretation or linguistics.
• Experience translating technical or instructional content with attention to context.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate simultaneous interpretation between English and Arabic across training sessions.
• Translate training curricula and materials from English to Arabic and back.
• Provide interpretation support during client meetings and stakeholder engagements.
• Participate in scenario-based learning activities to enhance realism and outcomes.
• Manage translation of client correspondence ensuring professional tone.
