Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Applications Engineer in Abu Dhabi to drive flawless execution across pre-planning, job execution and post-job analysis. You will craft technical job programs and application designs aligned with contract terms, working with Service Delivery Coordinators and cross-functional teams to ensure all application constraints are understood.

Ideal candidates hold a STEM degree with 4–6 years of oilfield experience, including drill bits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM fields required.
• 4–6 years of industry experience.
• Experience with Drill Bits and oil & gas drilling.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Job Cycle (MtJC) process.
• Collaborate with Service Delivery Coordinator and Sales to understand client objectives and commercial terms.
• Perform offset analyses and engineering modelling to understand hazards.
• Design a job program with risk and contingency plans to meet client objectives.
• Document calculations, simulations and plan revisions for visibility and auditability.
• Provide on-demand support during job execution and field incidents.
• Investigate incidents and determine root causes with corrective actions.
