AIQU is seeking an Application Support Engineer to join the IT team in Dubai. You will provide first-line support for end-users, troubleshoot application and system issues, and help with database reporting to ensure reliable IT services.

The role requires strong SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and business stakeholders in a multinational environment. This is a yearly extended outsourcing contract based in Dubai.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• +2 years of experience in application support, application management, or a similar IT support role.
• Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, SQL Server objects, SSIS, and SSRS.
• Experience supporting Windows systems, computers, audio-visual equipment, network services, and IT monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify issues and escalate complex cases appropriately.
• Good command of both Arabic and English.

We are looking for an Application Support Engineer to join our IT team and provide first-line application and desktop support to end-users. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting application and system issues, supporting business applications, assisting with database reporting, and ensuring the reliability and performance of IT services.

The role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 application and desktop support, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues for end-users.
• Monitor, manage, and follow up on incidents, ensuring timely resolution in accordance with established SLAs and escalation procedures.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams and third-party vendors to investigate application issues, implement bug fixes, and apply configuration changes.
• Conduct testing and validation for new application deployments, system updates, and feature enhancements.
• Perform routine system health checks and assist in monitoring application performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, Windows operating system, and basic network-related issues.
• Develop and maintain SQL reports to support business units and operational requirements.
• Work with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, SQL Server objects, SSIS, and SSRS.
• Maintain technical documentation, user guides, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
• Support IT infrastructure tools, including monitoring and incident management systems.
• Deliver end-user training on business applications and IT best practices.
• Identify recurring issues and contribute to initiatives that improve application workflows and IT service quality.
• Participate in technical meetings, project deployments, and cross-functional IT initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• +2 years of experience in application support, application management, or a similar IT support role.
• Experience handling technical support incidents, preferably within a large enterprise or multinational organization.
• Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, SQL Server objects, SSIS, and SSRS.
• Experience supporting Windows systems, computers, audio-visual equipment, network services, and IT monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify issues and escalation complex cases appropriately.
• Good command of both Arabic and English.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to mobile application development, including native and hybrid applications.
• Familiarity with web server technologies, particularly Microsoft IIS.
• Experience with Crystal Reports, OLAP, or Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
