Responsibilities

Main Accountabilities:

  • Technical Support and Engineering Solutions:
    • Provide technical support to the sales function for the design and development of fire protection systems.
    • Serve as the technical reference for engineering solutions within the fire protection field in ME.
    • Liaise directly with customers to engineer fire protection systems, utilizing knowledge of tested solutions
  • Professional and Ethical Approach:
    • Exhibit a professional and ethical approach in providing high-quality technical reports for technical solutions.
    • Ensure compliance with Morgan Ethics values in the use of fire test and certification portfolio.
  • Certification and Testing Management:
    • Collaborate with external certification bodies, providing technical data, calculations, and fire test evidence for project-specific design acceptance.
    • Support the Fire Protection Certification portfolio, ensuring current certifications and timely renewal/replacement of expiring certifications.
  • Fire Testing Program:
    • Contribute to the external fire testing program, including design and technical drawings, material supply logistics, sample installation supervision, and technical problem resolution.
    • Conduct post-test inspections and analysis of fire test outcomes.
  • Technical Analysis and Reporting:
    • Provide analysis of fire test outcomes to advise clients on product utilization and design solutions.
    • Prepare and present technical presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including training programs and detailed application-specific analyses.
  • Share technical knowledge within the global Fire Protection group, sharing information between regions and improving the level of knowledge globally.
  • Market Understanding and Strategic Planning:
    • Monitor competitive movements and understand implications for technical development.
    • Support the strategic planning process by providing input on market developments and proposing technical actions needed to respond.
  • Sales and Marketing Support:
    • Support the sales and marketing process as a source of technical expertise at meetings, events, and conferences.
    • Represent the company in technical/standards development committees and liaise with certification bodies.
  • Logistics and Planning:
    • Provide logistics support in planning and executing both local and global fire testing.
    • Support third-party certification.
Qualifications
  • Ind-1
  • An Engineering degree with preferably (not mandatory) with material science/ chemical background
  • Established comprehensive experience in fire protection application sectors at least for 5-6 years.
  • Experience in third party certification and liaising with providers of such scenes
  • Deep understanding of applicable fire test standards and regulatory codes in key regions/industry sectors.
  • Experience in handling fire test processes and proven knowledge of design solutions meeting performance requirements.
  • Credibility with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Understanding of competitor offerings' strengths and weaknesses.
  • Work collaboratively with global Fire Protection team.
  • Develop a working knowledge of the practical application of all PFP products and systems to enable onsite applicator training.
