Job summary

Fairmont Dubai invites you to join as an Apartments Concierge, greeting Guests with a welcoming smile and offering assistance on arrival. You will know the hotel well and present a polished professional image to ensure a luxurious first impression.

Key duties include guiding Guests, coordinating with Bell Persons and Housekeeping, maintaining safety and cleanliness, and supporting a premium guest experience in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English (verbal and written) is essential.
• Second language is an asset.
• Physically capable to lift/move luggage.
• Good knowledge of Dubai and the hotel environment.
• Experience in the role is an asset, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome every Guest entering the Apartments.
• Remain observant and respond to each Guest passing through the front entrances of the Apartments.
• Ensure Guests leaving the Apartments are attended to and offered assistance.
• Follow all applicable Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
• Attempt to open all doors for incoming and outgoing Guests.
• Give clear directions for Guests to retrieve their car when issuing a valet ticket.
• Report suspicious people or behavior to security personnel.
• Arrange taxi transport for all Guests who require it.
• Be an ambassador for the hotel by providing an excellent first impression of the hotel to the Guest.
• Attend shift briefing at start of shift to stay updated with hotel happenings.
• Follow all procedures as outlined in the Fairmont Code of Ethics booklet.
• Work closely with the Bell Persons, providing accurate information with regards to Guests’ Apartment numbers.
• Assist the Housekeeping department by maintaining the cleanliness of the Apartment driveway.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome every Guest entering the Apartments

• Report suspicious people or behavior to security personnel

• Attend shift briefing at start of shift in order to keep up-to-date with happenings in the hotel
• Follow all procedures as outlined in the Fairmont Code of Ethics booklet
• Work closely with the Bell Persons, providing accurate information with regards to Guests’ Apartment numbers
• Assist the Housekeeping department by maintaining the cleanliness of the Apartment driveway
• Perform other duties as requested by management

Qualifications

• Should be physically fit in order to lift and move luggage
• Should have a good knowledge of the hotel and Dubai, as well as current events
• Good English skills essential (verbal and written). Second language is an asset
• Must always maintain high levels of personal presentation
• Must be flexible in terms of working hours
• Should be guest-orientated

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

• Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
• Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
• Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, sitting
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

Visa Requirements

Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in the United Arab Emirates. We will assist successful applicants with the visa process and provide flights and accommodation.
