Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is inviting applications from Specialists in Anesthesia to join our Integrated Hospital Care Institute. This Associate Staff Physician (Specialist) will implement anesthetic care plans, evaluate patients preoperatively, and respond to emergencies within CCAD’s multispecialty environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, ongoing education, and adherence to institutional policies, ensuring safe, high-quality anesthesia services for CCAD patients in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required for clinical and administrative communication.
• Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment with sensitivity to patient backgrounds.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across CCAD.

Responsibilities

• Perform preoperative evaluation and risk stratification.
• Develop and tailor anesthesia care plans for diverse procedures.
• Respond to intraoperative and postoperative emergencies and ensure safety.
• Provide postoperative care and patient hand-offs with critical care coordination.
• Collaborate with CCAD staff and participate in multidisciplinary rounds.
• Offer anesthesia consultations, pain management input, and high-risk case planning.
• Engage in continuing education and CME requirements to maintain licensing.
• Adhere to CCAD policies on documentation, billing, and KPIs.
• Work flexible shifts including nights and holidays as required.
• Maintain clinical privileges and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
