Job summary

The Analyst, Loan Portfolio Management at Tanqeeb will manage end-to-end loan portfolio activities, focusing on covenant monitoring, waivers and amendments, and portfolio reporting. You will provide data, analysis and documentation to support timely, well-controlled decisions.

You will work under senior team members, applying strong Excel and Power BI skills to interpret financials, track trends, and present insights to stakeholders in English and, where helpful, Arabic.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in loan portfolio management, credit analysis or corporate/wholesale banking.
• Experience with syndicated and bilateral facilities and understanding of loan documentation (LMA).
• Strong understanding of corporate financials (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow) and ability to compute ratios and evaluate models.

Responsibilities

• The Analyst, Loan Portfolio Management supports the end-to-end management of the loan portfolio, with a particular focus on the covenant monitoring, supporting the execution of waivers and amendments, and supporting portfolio reporting activities across the existing loan book.The role is hands-on and analytical, providing the data, required analysis and documentation support that underpins timely, well-controlled portfolio management decisions. The Analyst combines sound understanding of loan documentation (LMA) and corporate financials with strong data, reporting and visualisation skills to help protect asset quality and improve the monitoring, control and performance of the portfolio.Role ScopeThe Analyst provides analytical, documentation and reporting support across the existing loan book, working under the direction of senior members of the Loan Portfolio Management team. The role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and timely escalation of complex or sensitive matters

Desired Candidate Profile

• 5+ years of relevant experience in loan portfolio management, credit analysis or corporate/wholesale banking, including exposure to syndicated and bilateral facilities.

• Working knowledge of loan documentation and mechanics (LMA), covenants, security and standard clauses, with the ability to interpret and support waivers and amendments.

• Sound understanding of corporate financials (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow), with the ability to calculate ratios, evaluate financial projections/models and identify trends.

• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to extract and interpret large volumes of data.

• Advanced Excel and Power BI skills, with the ability to present complex data through charts, dashboards, spreadsheets and presentations.

• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality of output, and to adjust quickly to changing priorities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or a related discipline; professional qualification (e.g. CFA) and familiarity with data analytics tools would be advantageous.

• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills, able to present to a senior audience; Arabic language skills advantageous.

• Awareness of UAE, regional and international markets.
