Job summary

NAFFCO in Dubai is seeking an experienced Production Engineer to manage the manufacturing, assembly and conversion of ambulances and other special-purpose vehicles. You will translate designs and BOQs into safe, efficient production processes and coordinate with design, procurement, assembly and quality teams.

The role requires strong production planning, problem-solving and team coordination, with a focus on safety and quality standards across automotive and medical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Production, Mechanical, Automotive, Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline.
• Relevant experience in ambulance, automotive, commercial vehicle or special-purpose vehicle manufacturing.
• Practical knowledge of vehicle body fabrication, assembly, electrical integration and mechanical systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and BOQs.
• Strong production planning, problem-solving and team coordination skills.
• Good understanding of quality control and workplace safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor vehicle manufacturing, assembly and conversion activities.
• Translate approved drawings, specifications and BOQs into production plans and workflows.
• Oversee vehicle body modifications and the integration of mechanical, electrical and medical systems.
• Allocate work, monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of projects.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, assembly and quality teams to resolve technical and production issues.
• Ensure materials, components and equipment meet approved specifications.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
• Conduct production inspections and maintain accurate technical and progress records.
• Ensure compliance with applicable automotive, ambulance, quality and occupational safety standards.
• Support testing, final inspection and handover of completed vehicles.
