Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the welding process.
• Prepare materials for welding by grinding, cutting, or cleaning metal surfaces as needed.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal components.
• Inspect welds and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Make necessary adjustments to correct welds that do not meet quality standards.
• Maintain welding equipment in good condition and report repairs needed as soon as possible.
• Follow safety protocols at all times when operating welding equipment.
