Job summary

Emirates is seeking an Aircraft Technician to maintain and repair Emirates and third-party aircraft in line with OEM procedures and internal guidelines. You will assist Licensed Aircraft Engineers, perform routine servicing on engines and components, and ensure safety at all times.

The role includes collaboration, adherence to manuals, and contributing to efficiency initiatives. You will bring a minimum of 5 years in engineering, a relevant diploma or apprenticeship, and an aircraft maintenance

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in Engineering.
• Diploma (12+2 or equivalent) in Engineering or related field.
• Graduate (12+2) in Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or equivalent with a reputable airline or AMO or an Engineering Aircraft Maintenance License.
• Experience in an aircraft engineering environment, including a minimum of two years on-the-job training in an airline or AMO.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of aircraft, engines, and components and/or approved structural repairs in compliance with manufacturer procedures.
• Ensure adherence to all safety procedures during fluid replenishment, aircraft refuelling, and systems charging or servicing.
• Complete component replacements and other maintenance activities as directed by the supervisor, using AMM/IPC/CMM/SRM or OEM docs.
• Support Licensed Aircraft Engineers and Approved/Licensed Technicians in troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications; report defects promptly and ensure smooth shift handovers.
• Promote and maintain safety culture; keep work areas free of FOD; audit tools, vehicles and equipment; comply with airport safety regulations including valid Airport Driving Permit.
• Contribute to team objectives and continuous improvement; assist with resource allocation using RMS/RTC apps and department projects.
• When required, apply knowledge in aircraft maintenance support, repairs and modifications to assist with resource allocation and projects.

Job Purpose

In Base Maintenance, our expert engineers deliver unparalleled service for all aircraft checks, from comprehensive inspections to major system repairs. We handle cabin retrofits, aircraft deliveries, and detailed inspection programs for Airbus A380, A350 and Boeing 777.

Our team excels in timely, cost-effective solutions for A & C checks, engine change, and landing gear changes, along with unscheduled maintenance and pre-service checks. Responsible for performing maintenance tasks on Emirates and third-party aircraft and components in compliance with company procedures and regulations. The Aircraft Technician works as part of a team under the direction and guidance of a Licensed Aircraft Engineer within the relevant trade or cross-trade disciplines for which they are trained.

In This Role, You Will

• Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of aircraft, engines, and components and/or approved structural repairs in compliance with manufacturer procedures.
• Ensure adherence to all safety procedures during fluid replenishment, aircraft refuelling, and aircraft systems charging or servicing as required.
• Complete component replacements and other maintenance activities as directed by the immediate supervisor. This includes obtaining and interpreting the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC), Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), Structural Repair Manual (SRM), or other OEM-approved documentation required to perform the task.
• Support Licensed Aircraft Engineers and Approved/Licensed Technicians in troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications in accordance with job cards. Complete tasks promptly to minimise delays, prepare work based on aircraft status, report defects quickly, and ensure accurate shift handovers.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture by minimising risks, reporting deficiencies, and ensuring clean, organised work areas free of FOD. Regularly audit and maintain toolboxes, vehicles, and equipment while complying with all airport safety regulations, including holding a valid Airport Driving Permit and adhering to manoeuvring area requirements.
• Contribute to team objectives and support continuous improvement initiatives through collaboration with colleagues.
• When required, apply current knowledge and experience in aircraft maintenance support, aircraft repairs, and modifications to assist with resource allocation (using RMS/RTC applications as needed) and departmental projects.

To Be Considered For This Role, You Will Need

• 5+ years in Engineering
• Vocational or Diploma (12+2 or equivalent)
• Graduate (12+2) in Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or equivalent training with a reputable airline or an approved aircraft maintenance organisation, or an Engineering Aircraft Maintenance License.
• Experience in an aircraft engineering environment, including a minimum of two years of on-the-job training in an airline or an approved aircraft maintenance organisation.
