Job summary

Air Arabia is seeking an experienced Lead for Line Maintenance to supervise engineers and technicians, ensuring maintenance is performed, certified and recorded in line with GCAA regulations and Air Arabia procedures.

The role focuses on resource allocation, cost-effective deployment, and maintaining aircraft availability to meet operational targets. Strong leadership, licensing, and English proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in Aircraft Engineering/Aeronautical; diploma in Aircraft Engineering/Maintenance or E&M cert with experience.
• Holder of an EASA/GCAA Aircraft Maintenance License.
• GCAA type-rating maintenance license; company authorization; A320 type an advantage.
• PM, Quality Assurance, Cost Control certificates are a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office and technology systems.
• Very good command of English.
• Ability to obtain UAE Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Act as main contact for MCC, Development and Planning Engineers, and QA in day-to-day Line Maintenance tasks.
• Lead engineers and technicians to perform maintenance and reduce defects per approved processes.
• Oversee third‑party SLAs; ensure licensed staff and trained personnel.
• Ensure safety measures and regulations are followed; manage transfers to Base Hangar for heavy maintenance.
• Review daily aircraft status reports and coordinate with MCC on plan changes.
• Coordinate with MCC on pending issues to avoid disruption and maintain service levels.
• Provide guidance and performance assessment to Line Maintenance engineers/technicians.
• Monitor license renewals and document management; flag compliance issues to Management.
• Maintain Line Maintenance manuals, facilities and tools; ensure timely handover of tools.
• Execute new technical projects directed by MML&O with proper procedures and support.
• Oversee daily D-Store activities and related admin tasks (roster, overtime, EOS).
• Generate daily reports on planned/STP maintenance, AOG, and incidents and inform MCC/Head of Maintenance.
