Job summary

Pilot Assessments seeks an experienced A330 captain based in Abu Dhabi to command from taxi-out through engine shutdown, ensuring safety and efficiency across all phases of flight.

Ideal candidate holds an unrestricted ATPL, current A330 type rating, is fluent in ICAO English, and meets the experience thresholds. UAE-based visa sponsorship is provided, with extensive relocation and housing allowances for a tax‑free, premium package.

Qualifications

• 7,000+ hours total time; 2,500+ hours PIC as commander
• At least 1,500 PIC hours on A330
• A330 type rating current; validity remaining at joining
• ICAO English Level 4 or higher (spoken and written)
• Under 59 years of age at joining; TRE/TRI experience desirable

Job description

What you’ll do

• Exercise full command from taxi-out to final engine shutdown, ensuring the safe, secure, and efficient operation of every flight.


• Lead and mentor both flight and cabin crew, applying sound decision-making and exemplary Crew Resource Management.


• Protect the safety and security of passengers, crew, cargo, and aircraft while maintaining Etihad’s professional standards.


• Operate efficiently and responsibly in line with fuel-management and sustainability policies.


• Deliver consistent on-time performance to support reliability and exceptional guest satisfaction.

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 7,000 hours total time; minimum 2,500 hours PIC as commander, including at least 1,500 PIC hours on type (A330).


• Flown the A330 within the last 12 months and current on type at time of joining.


• Valid A330 type rating with at least two months’ validity remaining at time of joining.


• Unrestricted, current ICAO ATPL and unrestricted, current Class 1 medical.


• ICAO English Level 4 or higher (spoken and written).


• Under 59 years of age on date of joining.


• Desirable: Current TRE/TRI experience.

Note: Where hours were accumulated on flights with in‑flight relief, only 75% of those hours count toward the required minimums.
