Job Title: A C HVAC Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable A C Technician to install, inspect, maintain and repair residential and commercial heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems. The primary goal of this position is to ensure optimal indoor climate control, system efficiency and safety compliance across all assigned facilities. You will diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, perform routine preventive maintenance and carry out prompt repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and Commissioning
- Install, position and mount split window cassette package units and central A C systems according to manufacturer specs and building codes.
- Connect electrical wiring, control systems, refrigerant piping and drainage networks.
- Troubleshooting and Repair
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and refrigerant line faults in cooling equipment.
- Repair or replace worn components such as compressors, motors, contactors, capacitors, fans and printed circuit boards (PCBs).
- Detect and fix refrigerant leaks, perform vacuuming, brazing and recharge refrigerant gases adhering to environmental standards.
- Preventive Maintenance
- Execute scheduled maintenance checklists including coil washing, air filter cleaning, replacement and drain line flushing.
- Inspect electrical connections, monitor current draw with multimeters and verify thermostat calibration.
- Compliance and Record Keeping
- Maintain precise logs of all maintenance services, parts replacements and refrigerant usage.
- Follow health, safety and environmental (HSE) rules using appropriate PPE and executing lockout-tagout procedures as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: Diploma, High School Diploma or Vocational Trade Certificate in HVAC Refrigeration Technology
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of proven experience as an A C or HVAC technician
- Certifications: EPA Refrigerant handling certification or local technical licenses preferred
- Skills: Proficiency with diagnostic tools (multimeters, manifold pressure gauges, vacuum pumps and leak detectors)
- Ability to read electrical schematics, technical manuals and blueprints
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to bend, lift heavy machinery up to 50 lbs and work in tight or elevated spaces
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Diploma in hvacExperience in split duct maintenance
