Handyman Facility Management Services in Dubai is seeking an HVAC technician to install, maintain and repair air conditioning systems across residential and commercial sites.
You will assess customer requirements, recommend suitable systems, perform routine maintenance, document service work and comply with safety standards. Accommodation is provided to the successful candidate, and EPA 608 certification is preferred.
Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesInstallation of AC SystemsAssess customer requirements and recommend appropriate air conditioning systems.Install various types of air conditioning units, including central air systems, ductless mini-splits, and window units.Ensure all installations comply with local codes and regulations.Maintenance and RepairPerform routine maintenance on air conditioning systems, including cleaning and replacing filters, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting electrical components.Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions using testing equipment and technical manuals.Repair or replace defective components, such as compressors, capacitors, and thermostats.Customer ServiceCommunicate with customers to understand their concerns and provide appropriate solutions.Educate customers on the proper use and maintenance of their air conditioning systems.Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with clients.Record KeepingDocument all services performed, repairs made, and parts replaced in service logs.Maintain inventory of tools and replacement parts.Prepare quotations for services and maintain accurate billing records.Safety ComplianceAdhere to safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks.Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow proper procedures when handling refrigerants and other hazardous materials.Stay up-to-date on safety standards and industry best practices.Continuing EducationParticipate in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge of emerging HVAC technologies.Acquire and maintain relevant certifications (e.g., EPA Section 608 for refrigerant handling).
