Job summary

Oliver Wyman Digital is seeking an AI Product Engineer to build AI products and agentic solutions for client work and internal transformation. You will own how an AI product is built, secured, and made reliable—from data and retrieval to deployment and continuous improvement.

You will work in small teams with AI Product Owners and experts, shipping production-grade AI and shaping the products’ business impact. This role suits engineers who want breadth and hands-on delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated software engineering experience through employment, projects, coursework, or open-source contributions; production delivery experience valued for senior candidates.
• Strong coding skills in Python and/or TypeScript, readable code, debugging, source control, and automated testing; exposure to CI/CD is an advantage.
• Evidence of building a working LLM-powered application or agent using tools or APIs, and ability to explain what worked and what failed.
• Ability to develop software components and integrate with APIs, with willingness to grow across UI, backend, and full-stack delivery.
• Foundational data skills, including SQL and handling structured or unstructured information; deeper pipeline and knowledge engineering can develop

Responsibilities

• Full-stack AI products: Develop and integrate user interfaces, backend services, and APIs into complete AI applications, applying frontend frameworks and UX principles.
• Agent development and context engineering: Build agents with tools, memory, and checkpoints; design and test agent instructions and memory for reliability.
• Reliable agent execution: Design durable agent workflows with state, resumability, retries, timeouts, and safe rollback.
• Data and knowledge engineering: Build retrieval and knowledge pipelines, prepare data, design knowledge stores with quality controls.
• Architecture and integration: Deploy AI applications on cloud platforms like AWS; integrate with enterprise systems via APIs.
• Security and AI safety: Apply secure engineering, least-privilege access, and design boundaries between clients.
• Evaluation and operations: Build evaluation and regression testing, monitor quality, latency, and cost; support production environments.
• Collaboration and client impact: Translate objectives into technical decisions; explain trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Continuous improvement: Use AI coding tools effectively, contribute reusable components and standards, and lead workstreams as you grow
