Job summary

Sharq, Dubai's early-stage AI company, offers a paid internship with mentorship from the founders. You’ll work on real systems, building data pipelines for processing, fine-tuning, and evaluating LLMs with a focus on Arabic use cases.

You’ll contribute to internal tools and APIs, join customer discussions, and gain hands-on production engineering exposure in a growing enterprise-focused team. Hybrid in-office work in Dubai supports flexible university schedules.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
• Strong Python skills and a solid grasp of programming fundamentals

Responsibilities

• Build and test data pipelines for processing, fine-tuning, and evaluating LLMs, focusing on Arabic and regional use cases
• Contribute to internal tools, APIs, and demos used with enterprise clients
• Research and benchmark open-source models and frameworks, and share what you find with the team
• Write clean, documented code and learn production engineering practices from the founding team
• Join customer and product discussions to see how AI gets deployed in regulated industries

About Sharq

Sharq builds sovereign, specialist AI for enterprises and governments across the GCC and MENA. We post-train and serve models tailored to the region’s languages, regulations, and infrastructure, so banks, telecoms, insurers, and public-sector organisations can deploy AI they actually control, on their own terms and inside their own borders.

We’re an early-stage team, which means as an intern you’ll do real work on real systems, not side projects.
