Overview

We are supporting a fast-growing proprietary commodity trading firm with an established presence in physical and financial energy markets. As part of their strategic growth, they are launching an agricultural trading division focused on physical B2B trade across key agri commodities. They are looking for experienced and entrepreneurial traders to spearhead the agri trading desk, helping shape its direction and build long-term supply chains with industrial and commercial customers.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the agri trading desk, focused on B2B transactions with processors, manufacturers, distributors, and end users.
• Originate and execute trades in core agri products such as grains, oilseeds, sugar, pulses, or softs, depending on candidate expertise and market access.
• Develop and grow a customer portfolio, leveraging existing relationships and uncovering new commercial partners.
• Collaborate with risk, finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution and compliance.
• Take P&L ownership and contribute to the strategic development of the agri division.
• Provide market insights and contribute to pricing strategies, freight solutions, and trade structure development.
• Lead or contribute to logistics, structuring, and contractual negotiations (GAFTA/FOSFA where applicable).
