Job summary

Al Tariq is seeking a senior aerospace manufacturing leader to drive the qualification, development, and industrialization of POWERTECH’s supplier base in the UAE and internationally. You will own supplier technical readiness from initial assessment through APQP execution and production ramp-up, partnering across engineering and supply chain to ensure robust gates and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing or Materials Engineering.
• 10+ years’ aerospace/aero-engine manufacturing experience, including supplier development, industrialization or manufacturing engineering.
• Strong manufacturing expertise across machining, turning, grinding, forming, welding/brazing or investment casting.
• Deep knowledge of APQP, PPAP/AS9145, AS9102 FAI, PFMEA, control plans, process capability and MSA.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and NADCAP or equivalent.
• Experience developing and qualifying aerospace suppliers.
• Experience building supplier development capability from the ground up.
• Willingness to travel internationally and regularly work at supplier sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier capability assessments across machining, sheet metal, welding and casting.
• Assess methods, equipment, tooling, fixturing, metrology and special processes.
• Lead capacity studies: cycle time, utilization, manning, changeover and bottlenecks.
• Own supplier development plans, gates, entry/exit criteria and evidence requirements.
• Govern APQP, PFMEA, control plans, routings, tooling, gauging and process validation.
• Provide senior technical authority for supplier manufacturing issues.
• Lead root cause analysis for process instability and yield loss.
• Lead tech transfer and industrialization of processes to partners.
• Ensure tooling, gauging, CNC programs and training before handover.
• Build and lead the Industrialization & Supplier Development team.
• Present readiness, risks and gate status to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Metrology and Product Quality.
