Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Aerospace Engineer to design, develop, and test aircraft, spacecraft, satellites, and missile systems. The ideal candidate will apply principles of aerodynamics, propulsion, structural mechanics, and control systems to solve complex engineering challenges and contribute to cutting-edge aerospace technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop aerospace systems and components including airframes, propulsion units, guidance systems, and navigation technologies.
  2. Conduct feasibility studies and performance analysis using simulation tools and mathematical models.
  3. Develop and test prototypes, including static and dynamic testing, wind tunnel experiments, and flight tests.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to ensure system integration and performance.
  5. Perform failure analysis, troubleshoot design issues, and implement corrective actions.
  6. Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards (e.g., FAA, EASA, MIL-STD, AS9100).
  7. Prepare technical documentation including design specifications, analysis reports, and test procedures.
  8. Participate in project planning, budgeting, and timeline estimation.
  9. Support the certification process for aerospace products and systems.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master's or PhD preferred for R&D roles).
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in aerospace system design, development, or testing.
  • Experience with CAD/CAE tools (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, ANSYS, MATLAB/Simulink).
  • Familiarity with industry standards, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of aerodynamics, flight mechanics, propulsion systems, and structural analysis.
  • Proficient in engineering simulation and modeling tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience with unmanned aerial systems (UAS), satellite systems, or space vehicles.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering and requirements management (e.g., DOORS).
  • Programming/scripting experience (e.g., Python, C, MATLAB).
  • Security clearance or eligibility for defense-related projects (if applicable).
