Job summary

A healthcare consulting firm is seeking an experienced Adult Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Consultant to provide high-quality surgical care to adult patients. Responsibilities include supervising medical residents, engaging in teaching, and participating in research activities. The ideal candidate should have significant experience, board certification, and proficiency in English. This position is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Qualifications

  • Completion of required period of training in specialty and/or Subspecialty.
  • Dataflow is a must.
  • Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.

Responsibilities

About the job Adult Trauma and Acute Care Surgery

As an Adult Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Consultant , you would play a pivotal role in demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality surgical care for adult patients in acute and critical conditions, Provide comprehensive surgical care to adult patients with traumatic injuries and acute surgical conditions, Participate in the management of patients in the trauma and acute care surgery services, Engage in teaching and training activities for medical residents and fellows

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides high-quality Surgery care to patients in this area of medicine.
  • Provide consultative service as requested.
  • Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians, and residents.
  • Actively participates in the training and teaching of residents and fellows in his area of expertise and participates in research activities.
  • Participates in committees and other administrative functions as needed.
  • Performs special procedures as privileged.
  • Follows all hospital-related policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
  • Completion of required period of training in specialty and/or Subspecialty
  • American /European Board Certification or equivalent.
  • Membership and/or Fellowship status in America and/or Europe or their equivalent and fulfilling the criteria for the consultant as required
  • Dataflow is a must.

Professional Experience

  • Min. 3-4 years Post Board/Fellowship in specialty.
  • Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
