Job summary

A leading materials testing company in Dubai is looking for an Acoustic Test Engineer to perform tests on facade systems. This role involves preparing test statements, managing laboratory accreditation, and ensuring quality control. Candidates should have a degree in engineering and at least 4 years of experience in the Facade and Aluminum industry, along with good communication skills and a valid UAE driving license.

Overview

Element has an exciting opportunity for an Acoustic Test Engineer Facade Testing (Acoustics Building Systems).

The role will be responsible for project specifications review, test method statement preparation, and performing laboratory and onsite site acoustic tests for facade systems.

This position will Dubai UAE.

Responsibilities
  • Performing Acoustic laboratory and site tests for facade systems in accordance with relevant international standards such as ASTM, AAMA, CWCT, BS EN etc., understanding the project requirements
  • Preparing the test method statements and reports reviewing the project specific ITPs and risk assessments
  • Understand the project requirements and preparation of test rig for installation as per the drawings
  • Implementation of quality related activities such as personnel training, equipment maintenance/calibration, face quality audits and manage the laboratory accreditation programs such as UKAS, IAS etc.
  • Assign tasks to laboratory personnel and define procedures to be followed, review test results & data and provide technical guidance/recommendations
  • People skills to maintain relations and interactions with clients and vendors
Skills / Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in engineering with good working knowledge in aluminum curtain walls, unitized systems, window/doors systems, sliding system louvers, balustrade/handrails, skylights, partitions, roofing systems etc.
  • Minimum 4 years experience in Facade and Aluminum industry especially in testing industry with good knowledge in relevant acoustic testing standards and regulations interpretation and effective communication of test procedures, specifications and results with team members, clients, consultants, specifiers etc.
  • Excellent verbal written communication and leadership skills along with computers and software skills required for the role
  • People skills to maintain relations and interactions with clients and vendors
  • Have a valid UAE driving license and ready to travel to sites when required
