Job summary

Gemini Trading Group in Dubai is seeking an Accounts Assistant to manage local and 3rd party vendor relationships, ensuring expenditures are allocated to the correct accounts and aligning with the Accounting Manager's guidelines.

You will display monthly aging and settlement of accounts payable, handle early repayments, and book amortization while assisting in month-end closing, SOX walkthroughs, and document preservation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience with JD Edwards ERP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage local and 3rd party vendor accounts and ensure proper classifications.
• Display monthly aging and settlement of accounts payable.
• Process settlements to distributors and service carriers before due date.
• Maintain petty cash bookings and accruals.
• Support month-end closing, SOX walkthroughs, and document retention.
