About the Role

As a Senior Manager leading the Regional Accounting Business Partner (RA BP) team for the Middle East and India, you will engage in meaningful projects that ensure compliance with financial reporting guidelines and timely closing of books for group reporting. Your expertise in complex accounting topics will guide business areas and peer functions, fostering collaboration and driving the Balance Sheet Review process. You will work in a dynamic team culture that values digitalization, proactive problem-solving, and strong relationships, ultimately contributing to Siemens Energy’s mission of sustainable and efficient energy solutions. How You’ll Make an Impact :

  • You lead the Regional Accounting Business Partner (RA BP) team for Middle East and India. The BP team ensures compliance with financial reporting guidelines (FRG) and effectively manages coordination with business areas and functions. You will report to the regional Head of Accounting hence close collaboration with Regional HOA.
  • The BP team is also responsible for timely closing of books and records – monthly, quarterly and yearly for group reporting purposes. You will be accountable for managing this task is delivery timely and accurately.
  • You will be required to guide the business areas and peer functions on complex accounting and reporting topics including IFRS 15, hedge accounting, Lease accounting. Additionally, you will guide and ensure that transactions are recorded in conformance to and in line with Siemens Energy International Chart of Accounts.
  • Responsible to oversee the external audit for countries in Middle East and India with the support of local country teams. Your support will be required for providing timely information and query resolution. You will be the first point of contact for auditors / country AC teams for guidance of complex accounting topics.
  • One of the key roles for the BP team is to analyze and monitor the Balance Sheet positions for the entities in the region. This involves driving the Balance Sheet Review process, identifying risk items, deliberations with the business / Finance directors, identifying and implementing the action agreed.
  • Coordination with internal and external service providers such as GBS (for P2P) and Accounting Services (for Closing reporting, other transactional services). You will act as the bridge between business / functions and the service providers.
  • Be ready to embrace digitalization and increase the use of technology in the Accounting function. Have a mindset of constructively challenging the status quo and contribute to the AC Digital roadmap.
  • Adopts a proactive approach and builds trusted relationships with business finance and country AC teams. Ability to collaborate, see the ‘larger picture’ and utilize resources accordingly.
  • Demonstrate leadership and people management skills to guide a high-performing BP team, foster team collaboration, and support individual development.
What You Bring
  • Qualification as ACA, CPA, or equivalent is preferred. Proven experience in accounting or controlling role, preferably within a multinational company
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS
  • Excellent communication; Proficiency in English
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, leadership skills. People management and cross-culture skills.
  • Experience in the assessment of complex, non-routine accounting transactions
  • SAP working experience is a strong advantage
