Job summary

A financial services company in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced accountant to manage financial records, enter transactions, and ensure compliance with standards. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting or Finance, along with proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and SAP, and a strong attention to detail. This is a full-time position offering a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications

  • 12 years of relevant experience preferred, internship experience acceptable.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles, GAAP preferred.

  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports.
  • Enter and process invoices, expense reports and payments accurately.
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain accounting ledgers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports
  • Enter and process invoices, expense reports and payments accurately and timely
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts
  • Support accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Maintain and update accounting ledgers and journals
  • Help with monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings
  • Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts
  • Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payments and account issues
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
  • Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed
Qualifications
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 12 years of relevant experience preferred (internship experience acceptable)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, SAP, Xero)
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP preferred)
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
