PPOAR in Sharjah UAE is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. The role involves preparing, analyzing, and verifying financial records with high accuracy. You must have 5+ years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's degree, and strong GAAP knowledge. Proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Minimum of five years' experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; QuickBooks experience a plus.
Excellent problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare financial reports based on data collected from bank statements, general ledgers, and other accounting documents.
Maintain accurate accounts receivable/payable ledgers.
Verify accuracy of financial transactions by reviewing invoices, purchase orders, journal entries and bank statements.
Analyze budgets and generate reports for management review.
Provide assistance with auditing processes including assessing internal controls.
Develop procedures to improve the efficiency of the accounting department.
Ensure compliance with relevant local laws and regulations regarding taxation and other financial matters.
