The role requires strong knowledge of accounting principles and taxation rules, and the ability to work independently to maintain accurate ledgers and timely statements. The successful candidate will handle journal entries, month-end closings, bank reconciliations, and the preparation of tax returns and other ad hoc

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• CPA/CA certification preferred but not required.
• Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role.
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping procedures.
• MS Office knowledge and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare journal entries and reconcile bank accounts on a daily basis.
• Assist with month end close process by preparing journal entries as requested.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
• Generate timely financial reports such as cash flow statements, income statements, balance sheets, and other ad hoc reports as needed.
• Ensure accuracy of invoices by verifying calculations against supporting documentation.
• Prepare income tax returns, sales tax returns, payroll tax returns etc.
• Review existing accounting processes for efficiency improvements.
