Role Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Accountant with strong F&B hospitality experience, specifically in multi-outlet operations and licensed venues. The role will oversee financial operations across several outlets, manage cost controls, ensure compliance (including Dubai Municipality & Tax), and provide accurate month end reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Operations & Reporting
- Oversee daily accounting operations
- Prepare monthly P&L statements by outlet, cash flow reports, and management dashboards
- Handle AP/AR (with assistance of AP team), general ledger, and reconciliations
- Manage banking activities, credit card settlements, and cash controls
- Lead monthly and year-end closing procedures
- Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality and Tax rules for sales
- Maintain documentation for government inspections and audits
- Inventory, Cost Control & POS Data
- Conduct cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis for food and beverage categories
- Monitor stock and beverage cost ratios (with assistance from cost controlling team)
- Investigate variances and wastage
- Ensure proper integration between POS, inventory systems, and accounting
- Budgeting & Management Support
- Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow planning for multi-site operations
- Provide financial insights to optimize outlet performance and margins
- Support new venue openings and feasibility studies
- Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Excise Tax filings
- Prepare audit schedules and liaise with external auditors
- Implement and monitor internal financial controls across outlets
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance; CPA/ACCA preferred (desirable)
- Minimum 5–7 years accounting experience
- At least 3 years experience in UAE F&B industry
- Prior experience handling multi-outlet bars/restaurants
- Strong command of UAE VAT & excise regulations
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero/SUN/Jana/Infrasys)
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial reporting tools
