Centennial Finance \| Dubai, UAE We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and practical experience handling day-to-day accounting operations in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and financial transactions. Handle daily accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, invoicing, and expense recording. Prepare and maintain bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies. Record journal entries and ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions. Manage invoices, receipts, payments, and supporting financial documents. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities. Prepare financial reports and management reports as required. Monitor receivables and payables and follow up on outstanding balances. Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records. Assist with budgeting, cash-flow monitoring, and financial analysis. Coordinate with banks, suppliers, clients, auditors, and other external parties when required. Ensure accounting records are maintained accurately and confidentially. Assist with UAE VAT calculations, VAT reconciliation, VAT returns, and related documentation. Maintain records and information required for UAE Corporate Tax compliance. Support external auditors and provide required accounting documents and information. Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable UAE regulations. Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements

Previous experience as an Accountant or in a similar accounting role. UAE accounting experience is preferred/required. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. Practical knowledge of UAE VAT and VAT return procedures. Understanding of UAE Corporate Tax and related accounting requirements. Strong experience with bank reconciliation, AP, AR, GL, journal entries, and month-end closing. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial data analysis. Experience with accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero or similar systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and company information. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Candidates who can join immediately or with a short notice period will be preferred. Preferred Experience in financial services, banking, finance, or a corporate environment. Professional accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent is an advantage. Experience handling UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance.
