Job summary

NADIA Recruitment & Management Consultants in Dubai seeks an Accountant for an international planning, engineering and architectural firm.

You will handle day-to-day accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, invoicing, and vendor payments, with IFRS and UAE tax compliance as core responsibilities.

Requires strong Excel, ERP/ZohoBooks experience and English communication; familiarity with budgeting, variance analysis, and cash flow planning is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years accounting experience; UAE experience preferred.
• Hands-on in journal entries and accounting operations.
• Basic IFRS knowledge.
• Experience with ERP accounting systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Strong business English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries and ledger maintenance.
• Issue invoices and process incoming payments (accounts receivable).
• Process vendor invoices and execute payments (accounts payable).
• Manage revenue recognition in accordance with IFRS.
• Support project budgeting and proposal preparation at the RFP stage, including man-hour estimation and fee calculation.
• Prepare budgets and financial planning processes.
• Monitor actual vs. budget performance and provide variance analyses.
• Coordinate month-end closing with external accounting firms.
• Ensure UAE tax compliance (VAT, Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing).
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes.
