Job summary

Pure Gold Group, a UAE-based jewellery retailer, seeks an experienced accountant to manage full-cycle accounting, closing activities, and financial reporting. The role covers budgeting, MIS, and variance analyses, with inventory valuation and VAT/compliance duties in a fast-moving retail environment.

The candidate will work with Wingold Next, D365, and Tally, ensuring robust internal controls and support for audits. Fluency in English and UAE availability are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; Advanced degree/MBA preferred.
• At least 3 years in accounting roles within jewellery or retail.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; UAE availability expected.

Responsibilities

• Handle full-cycle accounting including journals, ledgers, reconciliations, and trial balance.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare MIS reports, variance analysis, and management dashboards.
• Support budgeting and performance analysis.
• Manage inventory valuation, stock reconciliation, and cost tracking.
• Prepare and file UAE VAT returns on time; support corporate tax compliance.
• Ensure adherence to UAE financial regulations and internal controls; support audits.

Job description

Key Responsibilities: Handle full-cycle accounting including journals, ledgers, reconciliations, and trial balance. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). Ensure accuracy and timely recording of all financial transactions. Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities. Prepare MIS reports, variance analysis, and management dashboards. Support budgeting and performance analysis. Manage inventory valuation, stock reconciliation, and cost tracking. Prepare and file UAE VAT returns on time. Support Corporate Tax compliance and reporting. Ensure adherence to UAE financial regulations and internal controls. Support internal and external audits with required schedules. Work on ERP systems (Wingold Next / D365 / Tally) and support process improvements.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (Advanced degree/MBA preferred). Industry experience: At least 3 years in accounting roles within the jewellery or retail Fluency in English is mandatory Must be available in UAE.
